Families work with an On Track to Success staff member, called a Success Coach. Your Success Coach is there to support you and your child with supports such as assistance with utility bills, locating affordable and stable housing, or ensuring your child has what they need to focus on school. Your Success Coach will support your family and your child’s journey throughout high school, helping to ensure they move on to a post-secondary program

Students receive weekly tutoring support Monday through Thursday throughout the school year. They also receive school supplies and access to technology to ensure they have everything they need to be successful in school. Should your child struggle with a particular school subject, strategic supports can be put in place to assist and improve their academic performance.

Students are connected with volunteer social mentors  in both individual and group settings to boost self-confidence, and improve peer and family relationships. Additionally, students are connected with specialized career mentors  to explore various career paths, determine career goals and develop an educational plan designed to help them reach their goals.

Students receive financial support to remove potential barriers to academic success such as transportation, school fees, and textbook costs. In addition, students receive a $4,000 educational bursary after successful completion of the program.

Success Stories

Josh On Track to Success graduate

I managed to graduate high school earlier this year, got a part time job … and to top it all off, I started post-secondary… at St. Clair College. These accomplishments have made me more proud of myself then ever, and my parents are so happy for me. I want to give a huge, huge thanks to my tutors, my sponsors, and just everyone who’s a part of On Track To Success, and United Way.

Regardless of the numerous challenges and obstacles I’ve faced in my journey to post-secondary, I have always had the support of my Success Coaches. They were always there for me and even when I was feeling low, they never gave up on me. Through them and the program, I’ve learned so much about myself and I’m confident that I’ll be successful in my future
