A Costa Rican Trip to Remember
In 2024, Heide and Stanley received a very surprising call – a call from United Way letting them know that they had won the Dinner Anywhere in the World Raffle. With excitement in the air and a dream to visit Costa Rica, they eagerly planned their tropical vacation down south.
Summary of Raffle Rules (see download pdf for full version)
- Individual must be of 19 years of age or older
- To claim a Prize, the selected entrant must attend, in person, at the offices of United Way Centraide Windsor-Essex Chatham-Kent, #510-4510 Rhodes Drive, Windsor, ON
- All prizes must be claimed within six (6) months of the draw date (August 21, 2026)
- The odds of being selected depend on the total number of eligible entries
- Prizes will be drawn in reverse order and tickets will remain eligible for the remaining prizes.
- Prizes are to be accepted as awarded. No cash option will be offered for any of the prizes.
- UWWECK staff, Board members and immediate families of staff and Board members residing in the same household are not eligible to win.
- Once declared the “winner”, he/she may not transfer any or all of the Prize/s won and prizes shall not be used for the purpose of further raffling off or selling for profit.
- Should a selected entrant not accept a prize within six (6) months of the draw date the prize or monies equivalent to the fair market value of the prize will be donated to a beneficiary approved by the licensor.
- UWWECK reserves the right to disqualify any entrant should such an entrant at any stage supply untruthful, incomplete, inaccurate or misleading personal details and/or information.
- To accept the Prize, the winner must sign a release and waiver agreeing to the use of his/her name, address, photograph, videotape, voice, signature and any likeness for advertising or publicity purposes
- This Raffle is subject to all federal, provincial and municipal laws of Canada.
- Please note that AGCO licencing requires that purchasers be present in Ontario to purchase tickets and mailing addresses outside of the province will be declined.
- This Raffle is administered by United Way Centraide Windsor-Essex County, #510-4510 Rhodes Drive, Windsor, Ontario N8W 5K5 and regulated under license from the City of Windsor.
Summary Prize Rules for Grand Prize: Dinner for Two Anywhere in the World
- Round trip airfare for two originating from an airport in Ontario with a returning flight to an airport within Ontario.
- All travel arrangements must be made through Valente Travel by September 30, 2026.
- Travel must be completed within 18 months of the draw date, namely August 20, 2027.
