In 2024, Heide and Stanley received a very surprising call – a call from United Way letting them know that they had won the Dinner Anywhere in the World Raffle. With excitement in the air and a dream to visit Costa Rica, they eagerly planned their tropical vacation down south.
Known for its beautiful beaches, wildlife and captivating rainforests, Costa Rica was the perfect spot for the couple to visit for a 10-day stay. Heide and Stanley opted to stay at the Dreams Las Mareas, a beautiful resort along the Plaja El Jobo. They relaxed by the many pools, enjoyed the beautiful beach, and were even visited by some monkeys during their stay!
For their big excursion, the pair travelled two hours for an incredible experience – a visit to a rainforest, where they saw animals, including sloths, birds and monkeys, and took in the beautiful plants and canopy of trees. The memories made on their adventure will last a lifetime.
