Our Response to COVID-19


At United Way/Centraide Windsor-Essex County, the health and safety of our community is our top priority. As we continue to monitor the developments related to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), we wanted to share the steps we have been taking to ensure we are keeping our community, employees and volunteers safe.

Office Closure

To help mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and support community efforts to promote social distancing, the United Way office will be closed to the public until further notice.

The United Way staff will be working remotely to support the community during this difficult time and will be available by email and telephone.

Events

United Way events scheduled for March, April and May have been cancelled, following the guidelines set forth by the Government of Ontario and the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit.

COVID-19 Emergency Response Initiative

United Way/Centraide Windsor-Essex County is launching a COVID-19 Emergency Response initiative in collaboration with other community partners to help coordinate action and raise funds to help vulnerable people affected by COVID-19.
