The Leadership Windsor/Essex 40 Leaders Under 40 Awards recognize 40 civic minded community leaders who have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to Windsor-Essex County by selflessly undertaking goodwill activities and/or providing community service for the betterment of the Windsor-Essex region. The top 40 leaders will be celebrated at an Awards Night on March 28, 2018.
*Candidates must be 39 years of age or younger on January 1, 2018.*
Applications will be reviewed by the selection committee considering the scope of the candidate’s dedication to giving within the community. Award recipients will be notified by email. Multiple nominations for a single candidate are recorded but do not add weight to the judges’ considerations.
All nominations, including self-nominations, are welcome.

A survey link will be sent directly to the candidate, or the candidate can complete a paper application below, once they’ve received email confirmation that they are nominated.
Complete the digital application survey using the link above, email a copy to the Executive Director, or drop paper copies off in person to United Way/Centraide Windsor-Essex County, 300 Giles Blvd. E., Windsor, ON, on or before the date due by 4pm (Attention: Leadership Windsor-Essex). Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

Leadership Windsor-Essex is a program of United Way that began 16 years ago with the goal of building strong civic minded leaders.
This year they will be hosting an event to celebrate these community leaders. “Forty under Forty” has been a symbol of leadership, innovation, excellence in community involvement in cities across Canada for many years. This awards/event enhances and validates Windsor – Essex’s current and future community leaders.
