WEVolunteer is the official database of volunteer opportunities for Windsor and Essex County. By creating a profile, we can match you to volunteer opportunities that will meet your goals.
Volunteering can improve your resume, teach you new skills and connect you to new experiences and friends. If you have a specific skill, it's also likely that a local organization could really use your help. Here are some example volunteer opportunities.
If you don't have a lot of time, try volunteering for just one day or a couple of hours.
How does it work?
1. Create a free volunteer profile. To get the most value out of WEVolunteer, create a volunteer profile to be matched with the most appropriate and meaningful volunteer opportunities based on your skill sets, interests and experience. It's very quick to do - just answer a few questions and tell us about the skills you have now and the skills you want to learn. Click here to begin by creating your free volunteer profile.
If you've already created a profile, click here to log in to see matches or edit your profile.
2. Search the database. Local non-profits and registered charities will post volunteer opportunities to WEVolunteer. Feel free to browse through those that match your profile and goals. Once you find the right volunteer opportunity, you can apply for the posting and contact the organization. If organizations are looking for specific skills or experience, they may contact you.
Please note that your contact information is never released unless you have given permission to do so, and you can change your preferences at any time.
