Why Give to United Way?

United Way-supported programs touch every 1 in 8 people in Windsor and Essex County. Funds raised in Windsor and Essex County support local programs that are helping to lift up some of the most vulnerable members of our community - seniors and children living with low income, people who might be struggling with mental health issues, neighbourhoods where we have increasing poverty. With our partners, we are filling the gaps, and helping people that might otherwise be left behind.

Another United Way role in the community is to identify and address the most urgent and critical needs in the community.  There are many charities doing really good work, but they often don’t have the means to promote or fundraise for themselves.  One of United Way’s roles is to ensure that there are resources for the charities to do the important work that needs to get done. We work together with our community partners to craft “made-in-Windsor-Essex” solutions to local challenges to create a strong community for all.

Whether you are giving as an individual or as part of your workplace, every gift is important.  United Way has several unique giving programs.  Learn more about how to donate or how your gift will be recognized by clicking the links on the left, and please give generously.
