At United Way, we know that education is the foundation for a bright future. But sometimes challenges get in the way and extra support is needed, especially when it comes to pursuing post-secondary education.

Watch this video about how United Way’s On Track to Success Program helped Leah, a Grade 12 student learn to believe in herself and accomplish her goal of being the first person in her family to attend University. She was recently awarded the Ed Lumley Bursary in the amount of $32,000 – a life-changing award for her and her family. This year, the University of Windsor awarded $177,800 in bursaries and scholarships to On Track to Success students.

United Way’s On Track to Success Program is helping students like Leah get the help they need to reach their full potential. The program helps remove barriers to success by providing academic and financial support, along with social and career mentoring to youth in West Windsor and Leamington. Students enrolled in the program also have the chance to earn up to $4,000 for any post-secondary education program they wish to pursue.
