The 211 phone system allows residents to obtain information about community, social, health and government services, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, with service in over 150 languages.  Referral service is offered for a wide range of community topics, including children's services, language classes, family counselling, legal assistance, home support and more.

"211 provides accessible service to the residents of Windsor and Essex County," said City of Windsor CAO John Skorobohacz.  "The 211 team is dedicated to helping people navigate through a somewhat complex human services network to find the information they require, especially in times of personal distress."

 

Operators have access to an extensive information database containing more than 4,000 services, drawing on resources from throughout the Windsor and Essex County area. "We're proud to be working together to provide this new service to our residents," said County of Essex CAO Brian Gregg.  "Together we're fostering the 'no wrong door' approach for all residents, regardless of where they live throughout Windsor and Essex County."
