Leadership Giving
Our community is, in many ways, at a crossroads. Depending on our collective response, we can soar as a community or we can falter. Recent hardships in Windsor-based industries have created more need than ever at a time when many are experiencing shortfalls.
We are asking people in Windsor to share their own good fortune and impact our community positively. To meet this need we are asking United Way supporters to consider increasing their gift to the United Way by becoming a Leader of the Way with a gift of $1000 or more.
The impact of a $1000 donation is significant.
- $1000 donation to United Way allows 2 children to receive counselling for grief issues that will prevent long term issues
- $1000 donation to United Way means that 2 families in Windsor-Essex County to receive counselling services to improve family stability and family relationships
- $1000 donation to United Way gives 100 seniors the chance to participate in activities that increase their independence and reduce isolation in old age
- $1000 donation to the United Way gives 6 visually impaired persons orientation and mobility training to increase their independence
For only $20 a week, you can make a difference in the lives of your friends, your neighbours, people right here in Windsor.
Leadership Giving Campaign
A Leadership Giving Campaign adds a new facet to your Workplace Campaign. A Leadership Campaign Coordinator is chosen by the President or CEO to run this important campaign above and beyond the regular Workplace Campaign. The Leadership Campaign Coordinator is a person who is a Leader not only in the community, but in the workplace as well.
As the Leadership Campaign Coordinator, you are responsible for seeking a higher level of commitment from your peers and co-workers. United Way Fund Development Managers are there to guide the Coordinator with their task and ensure that they have the tools necessary to campaign potential Leadership givers in their company.
