Imagine Canada - John Hodgson Library Nonprofit Library Network

United Way/Centraide Windsor-Essex County is a partner in the Imagine Canada - John Hodgson Library Nonprofit Library Network, which grants free access to a core collection of resources.

About the Nonprofit Library Network
The Nonprofit Library Network brings together The Imagine Canada - John Hodgson Library and United Way/Centraide Windsor-Essex County with partners across Ontario to provide information, resources and training to support the successful delivery of their service, outreach and fundraising programs.

Partners in the Nonprofit Library Network receive a community collection of core resources available for use by their staff, volunteers, members and clients. They are also offered one community workshop per year, in which Imagine Canada staff address issues of current interest and provide tips on identifying and accessing information resources tailored to the needs of the organizations and the communities they serve. Each partner organization is also provided with training on how to access network information, a listing of community collection materials, the complete catalogue of the Imagine Canada - John Hodgson Library, and the wealth of other information resources at Imagine Canada's public information portal at www.nonprofitscan.ca. The Nonprofit Library Network supports community building through information sharing and partnership, and enables participation in a better-informed sector.

About the Community Collection

As part of their involvement with the Nonprofit Library Network, the Imagine Canada - John Hodgson Library provides members with a collection of 25-50 print publications. The Community Collection consists of a core set of titles about the Canadian charitable and nonprofit sector, supplemented by resources selected to address the specific needs and interests of the partner organization. The collection provides local access to hard-to-find tools and resources and makes it easier and more cost-effective for small to medium sized organizations to use these materials.
