Volunteers Believe...in possibility

Anyone in Windsor or Essex County can nominate a person who volunteers.

Volunteers¡¦are people who roll up their sleeves and tackle a cause, assist at an event, or help a neighbour.

Each nominated volunteer will receive a Certificate of Recognition, and an opportunity to qualify for one of seven (7) Volunteer Awards to be presented by The Windsor Star and United Way at a Recognition Ceremony on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at the Caboto Club of Windsor. A committee made up of community volunteers will review all submissions and make the final selection.

AWARDS CRITERIA

The nominee must have performed his/her service on a voluntary basis and not as part of the terms or conditions of employment, education or community service.

The volunteer service must be performed in Windsor or Essex County.

The nominee must have made a significant contribution to the welfare of others.

Please Note: Awards may be given posthumously.

Past nominees are eligible for renomination.

You must complete all three (3) steps before submitting your application.
