GenNext announces the 2012-2013 Youth Leadership Grant Program!
GenNext Windsor-Essex County is a committee of young professionals in their 20s and 30s that are making a difference in their community through United Way. GenNext focusses on the following areas: leadership development, volunteerism and philanthropy.
As part of our efforts to cultivate the next generation of leaders in our community, we are pleased to announce the 2012-2013 Youth Leadership Grant Program that will make funds available to local youth aged 14 to 25 years old in Windsor and Essex County.
The goal of the GenNext Youth Leadership Grant Program is to engage local youth in youth-led activities that:
- Strengthen youth leadership skills
- Increase opportunity for youth to develop creative approaches to issues affecting youth in Windsor and Essex County.
Local youth groups sponsored by a registered charity are eligible for individual grants in amounts of up to $2,500 each. Funded projects
must be youth-led and applications
must be submitted by registered charities.
Applications are due by 4:30pm on Friday, June 1, 2012. Applicants will be notified of funding decisions by June 30, 2012.

Funding will be provided to successful applications in September 2012. Funded projects will begin by September 2012 and wrap-up by May 31, 2013. All successful applicants will be required to submit a project evaluation report by June 30, 2013.

GenNext bowl-a-thon raises over $4,100!!!
GenNext wishes to thank all those who supported and participated in our 2012 bowling event on Sunday, April 29th. With your help, we were able to raise just over $4,100 towards our new Youth Leadership Grant Program. Thanks for helping us to support other youth in our community!
