In 2008, an opportunity presented itself to the Windsor Spitfires Foundation, Windsor Star and WFCU - an opportunity to help change lives through United Way.

Together, the Big Match Challenge - to match any new leadership dollars donated to the 2008 Campaign - was born. Due to the unwavering support from the community, the Big Match Challenge was a great success.

In 2008, The Big Match Challenge helped to increase the amount of dollars raised through leadership giving by 25%. Further, we achieved a 26% increase in the number of people who donated $1000 or more. This year, we were able to raise $318,350 through our Big Match Challenge.
